沖縄フェシティバル、Okinawan Festival

Last week, I went to the Okinawan Festival at Kapiolani Park. This year is their 25th anniversary, and there were so many crowds – it was great. We went first during the afternoon, ate some good Okinawan lunch there, had some Andagi(Okinawa doughnuts), and then went back at night to see the Rinken Band concert. 先週、カピオラニ公園でのお沖縄フェシティバルに行きました。 今年は、沖縄フェシタブルの２５周年を迎えました。 人が多くて、楽しかったです。最初は、ひるまの間 行きました。沖縄プレートの昼ご飯を食べました。そしてアンダギも食べました。おいしいね！ とても暑かったから、いっかい家に帰ってまた夜出かけました。リンケンバンドのコンサートも楽しみました！ Kapiolani Park, カピオラニ公園  A statue at Kapiolani Park, カピオラニ公園の銅像  ANDAGI, アンダギ  Rinken Band, リンケン バンド  For more pictures, ほかの写真 http://www.flickr.com/photos/thegrailcastle/sets/72157601891059604/ And during the last radio show, we interviewed Churamana, a Hawaii and Okinawan mixed group that is very popular in Japan. They were here in Hawaii to perform at the Okinawan concert too! Their songs always help me to feel much better – it’s great that there are groups out there who are promoting a slower paced lifestyle, and letting us know that sometimes in life, work isn’t always the most important. Having fun, letting go, forgetting all your worries is sometimes what’s most important. そして先週、スタジオでチュラマナをインタビューしました。沖縄フェシティバルでコンサートをするためにハワイに来ました。スタジオでライブが聞けてとても嬉しかったです。ハワイも沖縄も両方とも美しい島で、のんびりした生活を過ごせるので、いいですね。 View the slideshow here: 写真のスライドショーはこちら： http://www.flickr.com/photos/thegrailcastle/sets/72157601898656955/   |
